Testament to our Nursing Team

Testament as to how our nurses help cancer patients and their families

‘Whilst Dad’s liver cancer became a major preoccupation during his last months’ it was not what finished him off.

The support provided to the entire family by the Lynwen Nurses funded by Cancer Care Javea was outstanding and made a really big difference to Dad’s quality of life in his last months.

The supply and delivery of equipment really quickly when we needed it.

The lovely Atchiba helping us at Dénia Hospital getting Dad into Palliativo and then Hospital at Home Service.

The regular visits of Nurse Jayne and Nurse Paula to chat through with Dad his needs and concerns.

The fantastic interface between the Lynwen nurses, the carers and the palliative care team on monitoring dad’s health and any medical escalations needed.

Supporting the family as they navigated and disagreed on medical decisions.

Helping the family handle grief and the shock that comes with the death of a loved one.

Seeing to the incredibly swift removal of all the equipment that had turned dads home into a home hospital.

A really difficult situation for any family was supported with kindness, compassion and can do attitude.

Thank you Lynwen nurses. Especially Jayne and Paula.

Thank you all for everything you did for Dad.’
