Our 5th annual MoonWalk was a powerful reminder of how fortunate we are to live in this beautiful area. The moon shone, the sea shimmered, and the temperature was ideal. The proceeds of our walk will be presented to the Valencia branch of the AECC in person this week (Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer). The funds will be used directly, at our request, to help transport cancer patients to their oncology appointments. The loss of cars and the impact on public transport has been direly affecting patients in the past three weeks since the DANA hit Valencia. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated. We raised €3190.
Some special thanks to Kimberley for her amazing Zumba warmup and her warm heart. A massive thanks to The Pink Ladies who “shook the buckets” and raised €570. Gratitude to the Parador who kindly allowed us to use their reception for check-in. And thank you to Niamh at Walk Your Way Well for her assistance organising the event. Thank you to everyone who paid their €10 registration fee, everyone who bought raffle tickets, and all the cash donations on the night. As always we extend our sincerest gratitude to all the volunteers who gave up their time and energy to ensure we had a blip-free, well-organised event. Thanks to Julia Nieuwenhuis and everyone else who sent us lovely photos!
