On the 19th October a group of volunteers, members and friends attended the wine tasting trip to Yecla. We had a great time and learnt so much about growing, harvesting and the art of wine making from our host Raquel from the The CASTAÑO Winery. Visiting the vineyards, and the production department. Raquel explained the whole process of wine making and the differences between the various wines. So next time we drink a glass of wine we can remember the extensive process that goes into
making it.
We tasted several of their wines accompanied by local cheeses and meats and then
had the opportunity to buy their wines at discounted prices.
